# CIS Tax Refund Estimator (UK) > Free, client-side web tool for UK self-employed construction subcontractors under the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS). It estimates Income Tax (rest of UK or Scottish bands), Class 2 and Class 4 National Insurance and student loan repayments on self-employed profit plus any PAYE wages, for 2025/26 or 2026/27, and compares that with CIS deductions and tax already paid to give an estimated refund or amount owed. It also shows which SA103S/SA103F boxes the figures go in and whether payments on account are likely. Estimate only, not tax advice. Key facts (from GOV.UK, last checked 6 October 2026): - Refund = CIS deducted + PAYE tax + loan repayments already taken − (Income Tax + Class 4 + Class 2 + student loan due). Sole traders claim it through Self Assessment after 5 April; HMRC refunds any overpayment. - Turnover is the gross amount before CIS deductions, including materials charged (SA103S box 9 / SA103F box 15). CIS deductions go in SA103S box 38 / SA103F box 81 (2025/26 forms). Materials: box 11 / 17.
